In 2008, the World Financial Crisis first broke out in the United States and then spread throughout the world. Governments rushed to the rescue with enormous funds and temporarily stemmed the tide. The U.S. federal government and Chinese local governments struggled under heavy debts. Facing the challenge of an ever-changing future, people are resorting to new theories to explore the coming social economic mode to find a way to control present-day society.

Jimmy Jin is the author of “The General Theory of Eco-Social Science”. He received his BA in Economics at Nankai University and assigned to an administration and policy department of the Chinese State Council upon gradation, where he was able to observe the overall political and economic developments in China. After he earned an MS from Purdue University, he engaged extensively in business in the United States and China and was an eager student of the great social and economic changes occurring in the world in our times. Mr. Jin currently works as the CEO of a public company in Vancouver, BC, Canada.


Sean has around 10 years’ experience in commercial banking and security industry, specializing in risk management, mathematic model programming and product development. Formerly working with Mizuho Bank in Shanghai and Hong Kong, he focused on market risk management, model design and programming. After that, he worked in a private fund for quantitative trading arbitrage of future index and  ETF in Shanghai. Since relocating to Vancouver. He has been involved in Canadian exempt market and is the chief compliance officer in an exempt market dealer. Mr. Fan has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from Fudan University in Shanghai.


Martin Liang has been working in the banking industry since 1994 after he received his M.B.A. degree in International Finance from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He has been working with EastWest Bank for over five years as Vice President primarily in commercial lending. His areas of specialty include commercial real estate, construction, business line of credit and international trade. He also specializes in various SBA guaranteed loan programs and import/export trade finance.


Bill Hanlin has acquired a unique and varied background of skills in accounting, taxation, business matters and financial management on the domestic level and for clients in various foreign countries over the years. He is the founder of the Hanlin Moss Yi, PS, a firm of certified public accountants and valuation analysts. The Firm provides general auditing, accounting and tax services as well as specialty services in connection with business planning, business valuations, estate planning, litigation support, and other non-traditional disciplines. Mr. Hanlin heads the Firm’s effort in the areas of valuation services and fraud/forensic accounting.


Keith Baldwin is a business transactions and securities lawyer with a 38-year history of serving clients’ legal needs.  Keith focuses his practice on business relationships, including mergers and acquisitions, agreements among owner-entrepreneurs, and best practices for corporate governance. Keith’s practice emphasizes family-owned and other closely held private businesses, businesses funded by non-U.S. investors and U.S. subsidiaries of foreign corporations.  He assists growth-oriented companies in raising capital in compliance with federal and state securities laws, and serves as outside counsel to both emerging and mature businesses.  He is a frequent public speaker on corporate matters, and co-authored the “Private Equity Funds” chapter of the Washington Partnership and Limited Liability Company Deskbook.


Susan Yi is a practicing CPA licensed in the State of Washington, now based in Xi’an, China. She is a Certified Valuation Analyst and works with clients on business valuation issues for various purposes, such as the buy/sell agreement, divorce, gifting and estate planning, loss of income and dissolution of partnership. She also works closely with corporate clients as well as individuals and families to help them with tax issues and general business and tax planning.
