Weili Shen brings significant experience both in the U.S. and China in the areas of international business, public policy and management. Her experience in China includes serving as a Corporate Counsel with a multinational corporation responsible for negotiating business deals and managing government affairs. Ms. Shen has extensive experience in corporate legal affairs with an emphasis on foreign direct investment and cross-border transaction. Ms. Shen has successfully performed a variety of complex functions, including legal, operational and international development matters.
Beyond the corporate world, Ms. Shen also builds substantial experience in non-profit sector. She has managed quite a few US-China cooperative programs. At the Washington State China Relations Council, she served on the Planning Committee to launch the US-China Clean Energy Forum. Most recently, Ms. Shen worked at the University of Maryland China Initiative. In this role, she designed training programs for senior Chinese officials and also served as interpreter. Ms. Shen is capable of overseeing large-scale international projects involving multiple stakeholders as well as managing cross-cultural communication.Ms. Shen was born in Shanghai, China and is a graduate of Shanghai International Studies University Law School. She also received a Master Degree in International Affairs from the University of California, San Diego. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and learning about new cultures, languages and cuisines. She has left her foot prints in Olympic Peninsula, San Ysidro U.S./Mexico border as well as Key West Florida.
