Dr. Pei Zheng has over 15 years of experience in mobile device product development and management driving OEM innovations for commercialization with major US carriers. He is currently a Sr. Manager with Samsung Telecommunications America responsible for managing the Seattle R&D labs to create mobile device software innovations on Android and Windows Phone for major US mobile operators. Prior to that, he was with Sony Ericsson, Microsoft, and Lucent Technologies, working on mobile software architecture, mobile OS platform engineering, and a broad range of mobile wireless technologies. Dr. Zheng is author of three books in the mobile computing area, including ‘Smart Phone and Next Generation Mobile Computing’ by Morgan Kaufmann in 2005, ‘Professional Smartphone Programming’ by Wiley/Wrox in 2007, and ‘Windows Phone 7 Programming for Android and iOS Developers’ by Wiley in 2011. He has numerous cited publications on IEEE journals and conferences. Dr. Zheng received a PhD in Computer Science from Michigan State University in 2003.
